I'm a Chiropractor that's about giving you time, getting you better quickly and cheaply. Heat packs, 20 minutes of massage therapy, gentle manipulation, all in an atmosphere that's easy and relaxed.
Health care in America is in total disarray. I would estimate 80% of all health care is at the least useless and at the most detrimental. Example--- most heart disease could be prevented by taking 2 grams of niacin a day. Niacin increases HDL, which is protective ---- doesn't matter what your total cholesterol is! A billion dollar industry built around a pharmaceutical called Statin. Statin drugs make you incredibly sore and decrease an important muscle enzyme called Q10, thus killing you quicker than if you had not taken the drug. Statin drugs do not work, but they have worded the research to fool your MD into thinking they are an effective preventative measure ---- they are wrong. So, who am I (simple country Chiropractor) to challenge the powers that be? We get lied to people...., and our lives are shortened and made worse by all the greed in health care professions. My own profession is not exempt.
Most Physicians you have been treated by believe in Darwin's theories of origins. This is a foundational brick in the gestalt of American health care. I sound like an unscientific nut to suggest otherwise--- I must be a stupid fundamentalist?
But it IS wrong~~ no, it's impossible. Throw God out of the equation (lets just say there is no God) only the physical imputable laws of the universe.
For the incredibly complex "original cell" to have formed by chance, would be analogous to the Judeo/Christian bible having come together by taking the individual script symbols in red and yellow, shaking them in a bag for no more than a billion years or so and having two bibles come out completely formed in yellow and red---- with the ability to reproduce it's self! This example doesn't even come close to the "true" complexity, but it gives you an idea of how flawed Health care can be with this theory as a foundational brick .
I just had to take a space here to encourage all of us to be very careful what we do in healthcare. As a Chiropractor I am a small cog in the machinery of the healing professions. I have a small voice and small corner of the world in which to pontificate my beliefs. God has placed me here to be a simple reminder to the heart of man.......
